They're getting PAID to picket? No wonder their bids are coming in so high. Seems kinda stupid...

^that is what I thought...Yes, they PAY out of work former union employees to picket, at least the union protests in front of our building were paid. Some of our union members took them coffee and offered their support, once they found out more info they were kind of disgusted that it wasn't a real picket.

DaMan, what is the name of the company that made the bid, lost, and hired the picketers? If even union members don't like this company, their name is worth knowing.

^can't say I actually remember the name of the union, they didn't have signs representing themselves, just signs that say such and such company doesn't pay fair wages. I'll check around with some co-workers today and see if anyone caught which union it was.

I'm suprised nobody else has got to this yet. Looks like Park Avenue West is going through the first stages of the pre-application process! It appears as if they're transfering some development rights from O'Bryant Square to the Zell block. But it is good to see the ball get rolling on this.

No new renderings, but there's a good look at the ground floor layout and general shape of the tower's footprint.

They're transferring the rights from PB5, not O'Bryant Square (which is PB1).

A little more gets revealed! Thanks Dougall. Still not enough for me to figure out how to fully 3d model it yet. I'd love to see more angles than just the southern perspective.

PARK AVENUE WEST
Design Advice Request for a 31-story mixed-use high rise, including ground floor retail, mid-tower offices and upper-story condominiums over a below-grade garage. This proposal would require a Type III Design Review for
the building and a Type III Central City Master Plan to transfer the FAR rights from the block to the south [Park
Block 5] to this site [Park Block 4].

What an urban space Park Block 5 will be--surrounded by towers.

Maybe the elevator buttons will state 32 floors since many towers eliminate the 13th floor...

Has the proposed height of the tower been shortened?
