To be sincere, this "Freedom Tower" is already getting to my nerves. This freaking tower is always bringing problems to future constructions nearby Byscayne Park. I'm not anti Cuban, but please!!. Give architects and future projects a break.

This new building is spectacular. Has it been approved?

Lets get the 850 ft Met 3 Building complete and get 1200 FT Building to to center stage Dowtown Miami before we even think about building a structure of that elegance. Building like that comes when you get a little more hieght with the citys structure of tall buildings dont get me wrong its beautiful, but we still need a couple of taller building first.

Another thing i am concerned with Miami is they are building all these pretty buildings, for what a category 5 Hurricane to make a mess of them or even a possible category 3, or 4!

You could say the same of a lot of cities. The building code is one of the toughest in the country for a reason.

I thought Terra still owned the land behind the Freedom Tower and was planing on building a tower there. When did they give it up?

That old building is a pain in the neck. Because of it many projects are not going to be approved.

^ Who gives a shit. Make it a dense low/midrise area like that around the Custom House in Boston. Trust me you want the building to stay the way it is. New glassy boxes just arnt the same- they are nice but you need old with new.

I agree with you , but sadly no project can be approved if it is near that building. That is why the old and new crap is not taking place at that little area.

Eh...it's a great design but I have two problems with it.

1.) CCTV in Beijing. Total ripoff.

2.) Completely overshadows Freedom Tower. It actually looks like it's trying to eat it. Not really much of a problem, but if they were trying to keep Freedom Tower prolific like they claim then they failed miserably.
