The City has a map where you can zoom in on a specific piece of property and get the zoning for it. It's useful for determining what could be built on the site whenever a pre-development, tree, CVC, etc. permit is filed. I added the link to the Key Development Links & Construction Webcam sticky thread.

It looks like this could be for the half-block across 7th street from St. David's at 7th and San Jacinto, that's currently a parking lot.

Counting floor plates and guesstimtimating heights looks like maybe a little over 300' to the top of the mechanical penthouse.

That simple bend in the glass is a simple yet effective way to make it interesting. Great to see plans for some of those surface lots.

Old Carmelo's site no longer to be condos/hotel -- now being developed as an office project.

Ground breaking (supposedly) in mid 2019.

I guess that is good news. But it's WWC, and no site plan has been submitted. So a mid-2019 ground breaking wont happen. Highlights from the article:

It would be the 1/2 block parking lot with the address 615 San Jacinto. https://goo.gl/maps/5fxuuJFLgYQ2

If that is this building's location, that 1/2 block is owned by Highland Resources. Highland built Lamar Central and is currently rehabbing 211 East 7th into creative office space. 211 East 7th is across the street from this lot.

The other 1/2 block is owned by the Finley Company, which is also a local development company.

Of note: Hilton skybridge is fully operational. Opening day was last Friday. The official name is the "Hilton Overhead Walkway on 4th Street." Because -- no joke -- the city doesn't like the term "skybridge."

Also, there's new signage on the building -- with the new paint job it actually looks pretty cool. I'll get a pic if I can remember to.

The first rendering looks to be twice as wide as it is deep, and looks like it goes to the next street. That'd be both lots...1/4 block each.
