Kansas City, MO (Ongoing)

I recently moved to Kansas City (about three weeks ago) but have lived fairly close for the last three years. These photos were taken over the last couple of years.

Great stuff. Kansas City looks much more urban than I had thought.

I've always had a soft spot for KC. It's such a nice-looking city.

Nice pics.

I *HATE* those three tallest glass skyscrapers. So incredibly ugly, in my opinion.

Everything else about KCMO, though, I absolutely adore. Great city with great bones and some amazing old school architecture. I also didn't realize they had light rail now! So I suppose I can forgive them for a handful of unsightly skyscrapers.

Great to see KC here, nice mix of classic brick architecture and modern glass. Though I never understood why it is called Kansas City since it is in Missouri, and I know there is a twin city with the same name in Kansas.

The name comes from the Kansa, a Native American tribe, also known as the Kaw. The eastern edge of their lands were where modern day Kansas City is located.

The new streetcar is currently being tested, it will be open to the public in April. Has a stop just a few blocks from my building.

If it helps there is also a Missouri City on outer ring of the KC metro.

Great photos! I hope to see more of your KC photos on here in the future. We unfortunately don't see as many as we should these days. Congrats on the move!

Heckofa tour. Seems to me KCMO is somewhat underappreciated in much of the country.

Loved these two:

Thanks.

Wow, what a great collection of a very nice-looking city. I see why moderator Jame Bond... chose it for relocation.
