A lovely day in the nation's capital. Hot as blazes with 90 degrees in April and more pollen than my itchy watery eyes can bear. But I was able to put up with enough of nature's minor irritations to take in a ball game and a few of D.C.'s top-notch destinations. Capitol Hill is pretty de rigueur but the rest of the day outstanding, minus my burning eyes and runny nose (Claratin isn't helping!)
