Vancouver, BC and area

I'm bored and it's raining outside. I thought I'd pool together a bunch of pictures I've taken of Vancouver and area.

There are more on Flickr and feel free to add me as a contact!

Spectacular shots! Very great job, yorktonite! Thanks a lot.

Vancouver is very special, like you show in your spectacular shots. I´d like to visit that pretty city and amazing landscapes someday. Vancouver looks beautiful.

I hope to see more pictures from you very soon.

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain!

Very nice! I like that spiral building near the top- does anyone know what it is?

The one that looks like the Colosseum? That's the downtown Vancouver Public Library.

One of the top sets from Van yet.

Resisting moving there, resisting!

Why resist? I say we all move there en masse...oh wait...that's already happening.

You've got a unique style that I find extremely elegant. Your photos have that "just right" feeling of being perfectly composed and edited without being at all overdone. Oh, and it surely helps that your subject is absolutely gorgeous.

Thanks for all the compliments, everyone. I'm glad you enjoyed the set! I'm glad to own a camera in a city like Vancouver. It provides a good excuse to get out and explore it.

I am in awe of the photos, and to do this kind of photography requires much skill, time, and work!
Perhaps some good equipment and a little serendipity too !

Amazing city!
I'm pleasantly surprised that the Granville Mall (top photo) looks exactly like I remember it from my visits to Vancouver in the mid-90s. The rest of the downtown has exploded with high-rise condos, but this street still resembles a main street from the 1950s/60s. Has the city maintained it this way on purpose? Otherwise, wouldn't it all have been redeveloped with high-rise developments by now?

Great shots!

I love entheosfog's raw views of Vancouver and focusing on the sides that you don't see as much, but it's sure nice to have a thread that is just no holds barred unabashedly showing off the best the city has to offer. You make the city look great. Thanks!
