The parking podium is monstrous when looking in from the west, but i do enjoy how this project turned out overall. Looks great during the sunset.

That looks great. Why couldn't they do that on the west facing side?

Probably because you're not going to see it from street level in once everything in the area gets built. At least I hope...

This is the best screening of a parking deck in Midtown currently, IMHO.

I doubt a two story Whole Foods will block a 7 story parking deck.

Not sure if this will make you feel better, but the Whole Foods is actually 3 stories. However, the garage is 12 stories.

It did turn out nicer than I was expecting and hands down this building has the best lighting effects in all of Atlanta.

The three-story supermarket—complete with brewpub, restaurants, and a cooking school—will do little to hide the towering 12-story parking deck that it backs up to.

Looks very Miami. I will join the chorus. The other side is still bad unfortunately.

My mistake- it will have a lower ratio of blocking the parking podium than I thought!

I enjoy the portion above the parking deck- if the whole thing looked like that it would be a great addition. Whole Foods I have my issues with since it’s wasted space IMO. Could have been a 12 story building with a Whole Foods at the bottom and not blocked a single view

i'm a broken record about this myself, but no other major city deals with this kind of blight running right through it's CBDs. (midtown, buckhead, perimeter center) even detroit's transmission lines are buried in the city center! it's just cheap, plain and simple.

This building is hideous next to the gorgeous OAC, travesty even.

That comment was concerning the mural.

I agree that the tower itself is a poor excuse for architecture.. In fact the design of that entire block - (a 3-story building with underground parking adjoining a massive 12-story above ground parking deck) is just puzzling.

I think the tower is nearly complete. Also the Whole Foods is coming along quickly.

It seems to be deconstructing itself.
