Other than that, there are in & around the city some amazing natural settings. It is really a must see city & region for any canadian, like a very well kept secret.
Agreed. Quebec's greatest neighbourhoods aren't the historic core. They lie just outside it. And they're some of the best neighbourhoods in the country. The newer areas of Quebec City aren't good, but the extent of fantastic neighbourhoods in a CMA of less than one million people are unparalleled in Canada.

I think our newer areas are not worse. They are just ''normal'' to me. But according to me, the fact that most of the city is hilly makes them a little more ''enjoyable'' than if they were erected on pancake flat areas. At least you get a nice view/vantage points of the rest of the region/city when you're higher, like say, from Charlesbourg.

^ I know the telephoto makes that photo very misleading but that looks like the horizon of an Asian mega-city (the foreground of course does not).
