I'm glad I visited Edmonton for the first time when I did. Just before it changed massively, so next time I'll see how much it's grown.

Imagine if the 80 storey tower gets built, in addition to the cluster being built within the Ice District? Amazing.

Lovely Ottawa shot. Can feel that Ontario humidity that we don't get in SK.

And the spires... of Parliament, an Orthodox church, a mosque's minaret. Oh Canada.

A few recently uploaded ones, not my own.

Video Link

Quidi Vidi, "What a Sight". The plantation, these days, is just a collection of artists studios. Some of the work is intense or not meant for consumption, but mostly it's folk arts for tourists - I've gotten some of my favourite t-shirts there with gorgeous designs and minimalist prints.

Afterwords, a second-hand bookstore, has some bizarrely popular musical performances. It can only hold a couple dozen people, but the number of times I get asked by someone to go to one is more than some of the pubs.

Lawn ornaments are obscenely popular out around the bay - and if an individual is into them at all, their entire property is blocked.

Folk Art in Brigus, Newfoundland by Joseph Hollick, on Flickr

Spectacular Harbour Drive. If a stroll along this beautiful strip doesn't satisfy the tourists, I don't know what will.

Downtown St. John's - Harbour Front by Jordan Nippard, on Flickr

Some of the meatier rowhouses downtown, these close enough to the commercial area to now be mainly businesses. There really aren't many of this quality. The residential ones that would be comparable all seem a little flimsier. The only nicer ones in the city are stone.

St. John's consistently scores quite low on assessments of accessibility for people with a disability.

Next stop, Ireland.

The Rooms. Ugh.

Yellowbelly is in the process of setting up a tap room farther east on Water Street. It should be a nice addition. It replaces Velma's Traditional Newfoundland Foods, which never really did well with the office crowd wanting quick lunches. Eat Clean was in the space most recently, but failed.

St. YelloBelly Brewery, John's, Newfoundland by Joseph Hollick, on Flickr

And a little hope for the future...

^ Nice pictures !
On the 4th picture, I'm reading ''Le secteur industriel, aucun trepassing''
Not sure if the last word is French lol I would have said ''Aucun passage'' or ''Accès interdit''
The 7th picture looks like the Magdalen Islands!!
