As I PM'd you yesterday, how is anyone supposed to know that if there is nothing on the accident in this thread? If this was the only NY thread you were subscribed to, you would have no idea.

And since my, and I assume other posts relating to the accident were deleted or moved, he would have no way of knowing there were already posts about it.

What is the last solid floor Carlos, because sw5710 just told me it was the 91st floor plus the 92nd floor splice.I thought the last solid floor was the 92nd plus 92M splice?

per Otie...columns extend to the 92nd splices at an elevation of 1,189' above ground. Sw5710 is right in almost everything.

The 91st floor is the last solid decked out floor at the moment. Floor 92 is being worked on right now. 92M is at a higher elevation of 1,194' 8" so they need to put in new perimeter columns for for 92M, 93, 93M, and possibly reaching as high as the 100th floor.

These last set of columns extended from the 1,139' mark about so they are about 50' long if the splices reach 1,189'. If the next columns are 50'+ too then the 100th floor will likely be reached or it will come close.

Thanks for the great technical info, New Yorker!

Yeah,sw5710 is almost always right but me believing we were at the 92nd floor plus 92M for almost a week almost glued it and nailed this false information in my brain and was hard to believe otherwise. Thanks though Carlos,sw5710,and NewYorker2009.

Yeah it's either construction starts and cladding stops or vice versa. I'm sure it's not on purpose but just coincidentally seems that way.

I've wondered the same thing, seems like a lull in the glass cladding of late. But as long as they keep building up, the glass has to follow soon!

^ Yeah we should be thankful. In some countries and (Marina 101 (Dubai)), they FIRST construct the infrastructure and then put cladding. Well there it's for safety reasons, so I'm not mad. Maybe here it's for the same thing (although it sounds stupid), carrying steel and putting cladding on such a tall building (although done before), could cause a collision of two things happening, and 'might' spell disaster. Before complaining all of us should think of potential reasons (because we're not the construction workers).

Yeah I thought the EXACT same thing...it's like a ton of glass goes up, no steel, then it's a ton of steel, and no glass. And yeah that's true I guess I should be thankful for that

Thanks all. The start of the 92nd floor beams can now be seen.
