I thought this view was interesting, although it also highlights a couple of missed opportunities in Halifax. The Art Deco Dominion Building is great, but not very prominent. It's on a small, narrow street, right next to a similar building of similar height. The tower portion faces the street. It would have been so much better at the end of a street, or facing the water. As it is, it's imposing from street level, but only if you're right next to it.

The light blue clock tower thing is the original clock from the naval dockyard that was one of the main British naval bases from around 1760 until sometime in the 1800's. The original mechanism from circa 1760 is still working, but the 80's/90's tower looks like something from a playground. It would be so much better if something resembling the original clock building (or a later iteration) were rebuilt to give it a bit more historical context.
