Disregard that, didn't look at the address and confused it with the site along Main with the building bridge, it will be increasing in size and adding more office space.
"Central" with the stilts is adding more office space (I think I missed that post)?
Good news!

In the course of reading the linked city report (http://vancouver.ca/ctyclerk/cclerk/...cuments/p1.pdf) it seems that the reason Onni is pursuing an increase in office space is that they have secured an office tenant(s) that require additional space. Any idea who the 100,000+ sqft tenant is?

[Edit] According to the Changing City Updates Blog the tenant is the Federal Government. http://changingcitybook.com/2012/04/19/central/

FYI, the way they are expanding the floor space is by pushing the office floorplates 3 metres west into the courtyard.

Thanks for the info.
That should breathe some life into the area and hopefully encourage more office space nearby.

Jimbo604: That you for the excellent and informative update. Wow!
I can see it in your penultimate photo and was wondering you had a more direct picture of how Site #11 is progressing?

Call me crazy, but i like that old car wash, adds some character to the area IMO.

Also, the Opsal seems pretty tall for the area.

With all this development happening along SE False Creek, downtown really has jumped the water now.

Jimbo604 - Thank you! That was such a thorough update. I hugely appreciate how much time must have gone into that.

Thanks for the updates!!

Among all of those towers (albeit most without curtain/window walls as yet) - the only bright colour I saw was teh red spandrels on the alley side of Wall Centre (and the social housing building at Main & 1st)

What do you think of the noise level for Maynard's Block facing west towards the Cambie Bridge? Will it be unbearable if you were to even open a window?

Btw, thanks for the pics! Great update!
