Building Better Bus Stops Can Be a Snap

Basically they're a bunch of 6-inch tall plastic platforms that can be arranged in different patterns. These allow a city to construct a temporary curb extension out into the street to form a bus platform.

This would allow UTA and the cities it serves to experiment with buses stopping in the traffic lanes, which can speed up bus stops significantly. It slows down traffic, which is why pro-car cities choose to make the buses pull over, but if the bus platform is done right, these delays can be minimized.
Love this. Cheap, easily abandoned, functional. Man I would like to see them try out a few BRT lines with these. It's like the tinder of Bus stops, no commitment necessary but just maybe you will hit the jackpot.
