Somebody buys the parking lot at James and King William and builds a big condo or rental building. Unlikely to happen, but I think it would make a big difference in the neighbourhood if there were a bunch of people living there.

220 Dundurn - Somebody applies to turn this into mixed retail condo space and starts off a Dundurn St. boom. The LCBO (and beer store?) move across the street to take advantage of a larger parking lot.

I'm almost afraid to make any wishes for this year as the last year was so disappointing. I'm definitely hoping for something solid on LRT. I'm also hoping to see the condo boom continue, especially in areas closer to the core. I'd like to see the Gore Park Pedestrianization and Facade improvements take off, which I think is nearly guaranteed. Anything further to that I'm not sure of yet. Some progress on the Lyric Theatre ruins would be nice, as well as the Tivoli but I'm not holding out too much hope for either of them.

The relocation of half-way houses/lodging homes/RCF's to somewhere, anywhere other than right downtown.

Bombs could be dropping on the whole lower city, and I wouldn't mind as long as the RCF's are gone, gone gone!

*obviously kidding about the bombs, but you get the picture.

Happy 2012 everyone!

more businesses moving to Hamilton and more uploading. Dalton has been good for cities so far in terms of planning and legislation but we need cash bad. Tolls on the 400 highways, proceeds going to municipalities would be huge.
