I have always been thinking that the intersection island would be a fantastic place for a big fountain. I hope something like an art piece goes there.

A few quick shots I took today from a different perspective. Both cranes are gone and glazing is done, except for the amenity floor.

I wonder why the north concrete wall in the arch wasn't clad when the sout side wall was clad?

Staging by the looks of it. There's been work under/on that side throughout.

Looking good. What are the latest occupancy estimates? Late 2019?

Great shots, thanks!

Some of the perforated fins look rusty - I guess that's the intent?

The height of the spandrel covering the transfer beam for the amenities area is unfortunate - but necessary I guess.
Would have been nice if that expanse of spandrel had been broken up with some more horizontal mullions.
(unless it lights up - the finish is a bit odd looking)

Yes, totally. From left of BC Place Stadium/Parq Casino all the way to Richards Street (Just two blocks east of Granville Bridge), and south of Pacific Boulevard to Burrard Bridge
and before Plaza of Nations land should be considered the Yaletown Neighbourhood. Essentially Yaletown is gaining a new tiny retail zone after almost 25 years. In another year there will be another one at the Vancouver House neighbourhood.

For the Arc, I feel they should have used tinted glass for windows to make it stand out more from the neighbouring buildings, just like that short Concord condo next door.

Realtors think it is now - (see Vin's link), but it isn't called Yaletown in City of Vancouver planning documents. It's part of False Creek North, which cover the old Expo lands initially owned by Concord Pacific (and its various earlier company names) on the north shore of the creek that were not sold off to other developers, like International Village to Henderson, and the Plaza of Nations to Canadian Metropolitan Properties.

They are using blue panels on the exterior tower and stone panels at the podium so not run of the mill.

Yaletown has the warehouse district for retail.

Yeah, real estate agents have expanded "Yaletown" to cash-in on the cache of the name.
Technically, Yaletown is only the historic warehouse district bounded by Drake, Homer, Nelson and the alley south of Mainland.

My office is close by so I managed to get a shot of the I beams being lowered while walking to my car.

Ok thx for the answers, I've never really thought of that area as Yaletown, but I was watching a real estate tour in one of the buildings next to Coopers Park and I thought hmmm
