Stunning New Pics of Downtown Los Angeles!

I took these this past weekend and thought they came out kinda cool! Downtown Los Angeles has changed so much in the past few years and I am really looking forward to it continually revitalizing as new businesses and residents move in and believe that we can eventually have a bustling downtown core.

Downtown LA before sunset around 6PM (looking northeast)

Library Tower and Aon Tower stand prominently over the rest of the Financial District

A few new towers added to the Financial District

A view of Luma, a 19-story residential condo tower in South Park

The sun setting (looking toward the Pacific Ocean)

A view of the new LA Live and Luma together

Staples and LA Live at sunset

A close up of LA Live

The Historic Core to the east of the Financial District

A night shot of Downtown LA

Shit and to think, five years ago, most of that area near the Staples Center was surface lots. Looking good, my favorite ex-hometown

I'm usually instantly wary and skeptical of self-promoting titles, here, but I have to say that this one was mostly right. The views really are stunning. I particularly like how you framed the view of the financial district next to the old downtown. Downtown LA is starting to fill out very nicely.

so fresh & sexy - probably my favorite skyline

i wish the purple line went to the coast. that, along with the expo line could really boost the appeal of the whole wilshire/I10 corridor (at least in my eyes). that whole area (downtown to santa monica) has a lot of potential

I haven't been to Los Angeles since 1980, so yeah, the skyline has really changed.

Nice shots!

Really great shots. So Staples is right next to the convention center? I didnt realize it was right next to it. Yeah, its great to see LA continue to fill in and gain a nice density.

Very nice infill and way to go on the transit. LA-land can be less and less the brunt of no-transit and empty downtown jokes.

LA's downtown skyline is underrated. Looks like the air quality is improving somewhat or was this just an unusually low-smog day?

Great set.

LA really only has bad days in summer and those have dropped dramatically in the last 20 years. the rest of the year, the marine layer is interpreted as smog by the east coast media.

There is so much potential in DTLA that it's sickening to see the economic woes of late stall what strong momentum was built. Progress continues to be made on a daily basis, but a few new restaurants can only do so much.

But those are indeed stunning pics, Brig. Do you have any friends that are residents of Evo?
