PHILADELPHIA: Center City through Glowrock's Lens

Just figured I'd post a bunch of random photos from my trip to the Center City Philly area last week. Hope you enjoy them!

Aaron (Glowrock)

-------------------------------------------------------------

Playing with some filtering here...

And here...

And here...

And here, too!

City Hall, of course!

More filtering...

Two of Philly's tallest:

There's no shopping in Center City, for King of Prussia Mall has taken it all!!!

More City Hall...

A couple of stately old classics:

The big bell with a crack in it!

Interesting night shot:

Entrance to one of the finest public markets anywhere, period. Reading Terminal Market is awesome!!!

Obviously, the person who made this sign was highly edumacated!

Beautiful old mid-rise:

Comcast Tower, but of course...

Copy of Rodin's "The Thinker". Supposedly he's contemplating afterlife in Hell, so I guess he's always warm, even in the dead of winter.

Three Philosophers:

Bottles:

Armor detailing:

Knight armor riding horseback armor:

Interior of Philadelphia Art MUSEUM:

Brahma Bull:

Skyline from Art Institute:

YO, ADRIAN!!!!!!! (Rocky Stairs)

Random sky shot:

More skyline:

City Hall, again!:

American Jewish History Museum:

Now on to Valley Forge Historical Site, courtesy of TheWatusi's tour!

General Washington's Headquarters:

Back to Center City, and more City Hall! Haha

More Comcast Tower...

You think I like City Hall?

Love is in the air...

A few photos in Chinatown:

Heh, their names rhyme!

Bridge Approach. Eww, Camden!

Random ugly modernistic building:

More Jewish Museum:

Done.

It's the Art Museum, Glowrock.

But other than that, great photos. When you come back here for a weekend or whatever, check out some of the residential neighborhoods south of Center City and east of the Art Museum--they're where the heart and soul of yon fair city reside.

Some very nice photos. Yes, retail has just begun to grow in Philadelphia in the recent years, it is getting much better year by year thankfully!

Changed it, are you happy now?

I'll have to check out some more areas the next time I'm in town... Given that I was on foot the whole time, I think I did pretty well. Worked out well taking Megabus from Pittsburgh to Philly, no outrageous parking costs for me! Heh

Yeah, Megabus rocks, doesn't it?

If you wanna spend some more time in Philly, hit me or volguus or Swiney up, haha.

Thanks for the pics, glowrock!

I´m wishing to visit Philadelphia. I see it´s a great and pretty city.

I love the skyline view from the Art Institute. It´s great. And the pictures of Washington´s Headquarters are very nice too.

Congratulations and greetings from Madrid, Spain! Merry Christmas!

Philadephia has similarites with both European cities and New York. Was there in 1998 but took very few photos unfortunately.

One photo on SSP of King of Prussia Mall and it immediately self-destructs, taking all forumers with it. You see, I was keeping us all safe by not posting a photo from KOP, Watusi!

Thanks, Coldrsx! Just figured I'd post the original photo before I played around with the greyscale filtering...

...and what's wrong with that? I'm sure the Costco next door would make excellent use of the extra parking spaces!

...by the way, great CC tour, Aaron!!!
