This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen, and I lived in DC when Mayor Barry got caught buying crack in a whore house.

What on earth is wrong with a beer garden, and on what planet does a beer garden drudge up the rhetoric, "no to drugs, yes to education"? That's like spinning a dead lion in Zimbabwe into a conversation about Caitlyn Jenner, which I'm sure Facebook has managed to do.

I hope hope hope they say no to the south kensington project. They took the initial SOKO that Inga reviewed (which wasn't great, but it was still at least a nice addition to the neighborhood) and made it a gated community with no public access...making even the dog park private and most all of the retail just private amenities for the residents. They even took the 140 parking spaces initially planned for and increased that number to 207 spaces for the 320 units even though the CMX3 zoning only requires 106!!! They say they are doing that since 85% of households in northern liberties have cars and they say they need to have parking to be competitive in this market...failing to consider that they are a 5 minute walk to the Girard El stop and a 2 minute walk to the Trolley stop!

Not sure where else to put this, or even if it is SSP worthy, but the trailer for Homefront: The Revolution came out today, and the game takes place in Philly. It's a reasonably accurate skyline, too.

Mods, feel free to delete if too far off topic.

At first I thought Kimpton was beginning to fix up and add green space on the old Family Court, on the ledges -- nah - just over grown weeds growing now.

Partial capping of 676 out front of above ^^ continuing:

Hotel conversion continues at the old Four Seasons:

^^^^ With respect to the Family Court's (alleged) conversion to a Kimpton Hotel, is it possible that they're waiting for the capping work to be done before commencing work on the building, or is this likely dead in the water?

I beautiful building, such as the Family Court Building, in a prime location shouldn't be a hard sell. A Kimpton would be fine there, but if that were to fall through it wouldn't be the end of the world. Logan Circle is going to steadily improve. I wish I had a scoop for everyone. When I had lots of scoops I had to be silent. Now I work in an entirely new industry and have no scoops at all (on anything related to development).

Great updates^^

Continuing the Point Breeze saga, I saw that Ori finally won on the 20th & Wharton proposal. "Construction is expected to begin in September."
