Portland Oregon Illustrator drawings

First off, nice style you have texcolo....i like the clean lines and angles, and cute babes with expression. Thanks for sharing.

Here are some renderings I created over the last few months of downtown Portland, Oregon..

I imported jpegs of photos of downtown into AI and locked the layer, and began illustrating projects that are in process and/or are soon to be in the works, as well as proposed projects to get an idea of what Portland might look like in 10 years or so.

Batch 1 is a render of what will be Portland's 3rd tallest, Park Avenue West (515 ft.), with construction starting in March of 2008. In the same illustration is my take on the ZGF Tower in the west end, which already has a very deep hole dug and soon to rise.

Here is batch 1.

and looking north:

Next up is a photographic view looking west into downtown Portland in 2005, taken approximately 5 miles away in Mt. Tabor Park. This is a triptych of sorts; the 2005 photo, and a possible 2017 view with my AI renderings of projects already in construction and proposals that hopefully will get built. This view has callouts. Lastly, the same view from frame 2 without the callouts.

For grins I added a tallest, which if this city wasn't so NIMBY-fied with West Hills old money, we may one day actually get a 700-800 footer. This tower I drew is something I just made up out of my head. After I finished it I got a chuckle to myself in my own off the beaten path way...looking at the render of my tallest, I was thinking that if Jack in the Box headquarters left San Diego and moved to Portland that this would be the consummate headquarters for them. Jack could have the top floor office. Very fitting.

Enjoy: batch 2.
