The silly pink and white building by the In-n-Out burger in Westwood (NW corner of Gayley and Le Conte) is almost completely demolished. Soon to be replaced by new student housing-

There is tons of non-DTLA LA content on my Flickr, I just don't find the time to post it here anymore.

Gerald Desmond Bridge

I wish they could save the steel arch section of the original Gerald Desmond Bridge and place it on another bridge somewhere down in the harbor. And while there at it, go get the steel arch Old Trails Pipeline Arch Bridge in Needles and place it in the harbor as well. There are not too many large through-arch bridges in California.

It is neat and pretty but neeedless to say such a disassembly/reconstruction is never going to happen. The new bridge is going to look great for a new century.

@ConstructDTLA I'm not sure if you ever venture down to San Diego, but an awesome project that's worth keeping an eye out for is the Ritz Carlton scheduled to break ground this year.

The Melrose Triangle project demolition is in full swing and probably over 50% complete.

It's this one just in case-

Auto Zone

The Auto Zone in Los Feliz is completely demoed now. This was taken last month. Haven't seen renderings for this in a while. Anybody know if they are actually starting construction on this? I believe the developer is Chandler Partners.

Just passed the Museum Square Complex (directly east of tar pits) and they have a tower crane up. Looks like https://urbanize.la/post/rendering-r...partment-tower is moving forward.

And a few weeks back I was at the W(r)apper site at La Cienega / Jefferson and it looked like the parking / foundation was finally being dug out? Skyscraper across the tracks is definitely coming along nicely.
