Calgary Forum Meets Thread

Alright guys n' gals. I figured it was about time for this thread to pop up. It's almost summer, the sun is setting outside my window and the leaves in the trees all over the Fish Creek valley are blooming. IT'S TIME FOR MEETS!

So, to take advantage of our large membership and good weather, I'm making this thread so that we have a central place for setting up and recording our forum meetups. This is different from the events thread, that one should keep being about external happenings.

My first proposal:

Okay, so gorgeous weather today. I stayed indoors, being laz... err, studying. I'm bored, my brother and his gf are annoying the crap out of me. Time to get out of the house. Weather Network says that tomorrow afternoon is going to be a whopping 31ºC.

I'm thinking of going out for a bit of urban exploration. Or just regular photography... whatever happens. I'm open for meeting times and places. Anyone else want to tag along?

This was a good thread to start up Boris! Unfortunately I will be leaving Calgary later this morning to head up to Buffalo lake for some R&R.

A 'SSP Summer Shitfaced Funfest' should be planned, that would be great. I would suggest some time during the Stampede for maximum partying.

Today's high is now forecast at 33.

How quickly can one dig a pool?

I think I'm going to go drown myself in the Bow.

If you are going to for the kind of meet where we can stay up later and drink harder Saturday's work better for myself. I usually end up being at work at 8am on Saturdays.

I'm going to be finished my course before this day, so I'm good for a meetup.

I could make this weekend work as well, Saturday evening would be the better venue but I could swing Friday also.

It appears that Friday would actually be the better day for me this week. Should we work towards that?
