I heard some rumors about widening i25 between Monument and Castle Rock, can anyone confirm this? That stretch of road is a complete mess. I am surprised there isn't a passenger train linking the two cities together considering how many people in the Springs commute to Denver; and the amount of tourist flying into DIA for Colorado Springs.

It's in planning. Looks like it will add shoulders and one lane each way- tolled of course.

It's obviously not much compared to Denver or other metros of similar size, but to have 4 tower cranes in the city at one time is better than zero which is what we usually have. Also, I remember seeing the options for I-25 expansion and there were several. Everything from shoulder/single toll lane, to two more lanes and a third toll lane each side going all the way to C-470 (which seemed like overkill). I think someone posted the link earlier in this thread or the transportation thread.

BRIGHTON — Newmark Knight Frank is developing a 1.8 million-square-foot Class A industrial park in Brighton called 76 Commerce Center.

The 122-acre site in Bromley Industrial Park is the largest speculative project in the Denver area, according to a news release. The project is a joint venture between Hyde Development and Mortenson.

New CU Boulder aerospace building breaks ground
Published: Oct. 26, 2017 - CU Boulder Today
Quote:
CU Boulder broke ground today on a new 144,000-square-foot aerospace engineering building, with even spacesuit-clad mascot Chip turning one of the first shovels-full of dirt for the project.

The state of Colorado is a hub of the nation’s aerospace industry, and the new facility, slated to open in the summer of 2019 on East Campus, aims to put CU Boulder’s nationally ranked Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the center of that innovation.

Well considering how much larger and famous the Aerospace program at CU is that is not very good.
