Exclusive: Autodesk to move 200 Lake Oswego employees to Portland

Autodesk, which makes 3D design software, is moving its local office from Lake Oswego to the Towne Storage Building at the Burnside Bridgehead.

The company will bring its 200 employees to the space in 2018. The company is taking the Towne Storage Building's entire 100,000 square feet of office space.

The local office for the California-based company features workers in product development, marketing, human resources, customer support, finance and sales roles, said senior manager of corporate PR Stacy Doyle.
...continues at the Portland Business Journal.

The curmudgeon in me would love to hate this building, but I actually think its kind of charming.

I can't imagine the building would age well, but I would love to ogle at it in the meantime.

So in the renderings, the building is south of Morrison, but in their "ground floor plan" it's to the north of Morrison. I'm going to assume they messed up on the schematics and not the renderings.

Yeah, I was afraid it was the building that Montage is located in and got sad for a second.

Thanks for the updates. Am I the only one who thinks the Fair Haired Dumbbell would look cool if it was built to a higher standard and remained white? Seeing it almost finished I feel like it needs the crazy paint job to hide the imperfections.

You are not the only one. I took a bunch of shots the other day with the intention of suggesting exactly that but macco beat me to the punch.

The "crazy" paint job has been an integral component of this building from the get-go. Can't wait to see what the muralist comes up with. Without it you'd have to change the name to the Plain White Dumbbell, and I think we're all agreed the last thing we need in this town is a building named after our esteemed Attorney General.
