Kitchener/Waterloo doesn't get a lot of love on this site, but there is lots going on there. Here is the latest proposal for downtown Kitchener - a mix of office, residential and retail called SIXO Midtown.

I don't know about the details... but otherwise I think its awesome! That's got to be ~30 floors, easily a new tallest for KW...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

In Toronto, the Entertainment district gets more intense and crammed full of towers yet again...

14 Duncan St. @ Pearl, 157 metres, 48 floors

This is at the other end of the block on which PJ Condos is now U/C.
Would be between M & G West and 263 Adelaide W, if they all get built of course...

Details here: http://urbantoronto.ca/news/2017/05/...l-duncan-pearl

For Kitchener-Waterloo, this project is actually amazing.

Look at the little LRT Trains, soo cute.

yeah, the masterplan is not very impressive for such a huge block in the downtown. It should be divided more with active, intimate frontages within the block. Right now, it reminds me of masterplans in autocentric, suburban Toronto.

Perhaps Mississauga will soon be in the 200 metre tower club?
That Labatt proposal looks monolithic, imposing, dominant...
River St. will look very interesting in 4 or 5 years...
The BIG proposal on King W doesn't look nearly as good any more...

New tallest office tower proposed in Vancouver.

1133 Melville, 167.6 meters (revised from 160 meters from the previous proposal) and 34 floors (revised from 33 floors).

I personally like it.

I like it but it will look very heavy in the skyline.

That Wesley Tower at Daniels City Centre is butt ugly. The 83 River will be right beside that 7 Labatt proposal so it could play off the simplicity of it's neighbour.

Cool. It will add some diversity to the skyline. I like the terraces!

The heavier base will largely be obscured when looking at the skyline as a whole. so I think that will help balance it out in the skyline.

It is actually far less heavy than the original proposal.

That was my exact thought as well. I am quite happy at this possibility to get one such major tower in Vancouver.

7 Labatt is an old proposal - it's been redesigned as a single tower

That Vancouver proposal will beef up the skyline. It's exactly what it needs. Very nice tower.
