Found some info for the new Translink headquarters, which they starting to excavate for this last week. I plan on getting down there for some pictures tomorrow.
Here is the link to the New West Council minutes report where i got the images.http://www.newwestcity.ca/council_mi...e%20Avenue.pdf
Of course there is tons more building info if you want to browse through it all, including floor plans, landscaping.
The "mixed use tower" is interesting. I winder whether it'll be office/residential or hotel/residential?
I think it's good thing that the condos will be built last - no neighbours to complain when the other buildings go in and office workers would probably provide more patronage to the stores than condo residents.
I'm liking this project more and more. That stretch of Columbia is going to look fantastic when this is all built out. Best pedestrian-oriented project in Metro Van?
Could "mixed use" simply refer to residential with retail at the base? With the skytrain plaza right there it wouldn't surprise me.
This is going to be a great project which will hopefully totally change the area for the better. The intersection of Columbia and Brunette is still going to be a loud busy mess though.
The second building (the tallest and largest of the office/commercial buildings) is now above the ground. The parking garage is almost complete and they've started work on the first floor

Great project - thanks for the updates.

This is a screen grab from the video posted above. This is photoshopped, right? I don't know NW well, but I don't recognize this at all...

Yes, it is. The shadows on the walkway don't match up with the abundance of light on the patio and secondary walkway.
