Juneau--Alaska's Capital City

It's been years (easily) since I've posted a thread, for whatever reason. But, I think I'd like to try getting back into the game of doing it. Bear with me if there are any technical difficulties.

Without further ado, I bring to you a city not commonly seen on here: Juneau. This incredible little place of 32,000 packs a punch. It's a city where urban meets a vast (mind-blowing if you will) wilderness.

All photos were taken by me in 2012/2013. Hope you enjoyed!

Thanks for these pictures from Juneau and its surroundings. Enjoyed.

Very nice natural scenery. The pics of the three bears is lovely! I´ve never seen pics of Juneau. Beautiful as the whole state of Alaska!

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

Very interesting. Thanks.

A black bear once ran across the highway in front of me, just like that. Except it was in Pennsylvania.

I don't think I've seen a thread on Juneau before. Looks pretty small but interesting.

Small indeed, but the third largest in Alaska. As far as cities here concerned, this one's done right.

Amazing! I think what's possibly even more amazing is that this is a a state capital that is NOT connected to the rest of the continent by road. How insane is that.

For years now, I've enjoyed much of your (and by your I mean just about everyone who has commented on the thread) photography on here quietly. I'm honored to receive such praise. It means a lot.

I'd love to visit! Those mountains rising up right from town is so cool! It's more extreme than even Vancouver.
