So apparently, the M+G Towers have been "fully" approved. Next stop -- construction.

Shouldn't the next stop be sales? Or is this just a formality these days in Toronto, even for a project of this magnitude? Mind you, it would not surprise me.

I was expressing excitement. Apartments/rentals can go straight to const. This one has to go through sales.

Sure, this technicality was holding up construction. This was approved eons ago.

Zoning has never held up sales in Toronto. It's commonplace for projects to "sell out" before zoning is approved.

Hold off until you see shovels in the ground and concrete poured. This is nothing to get behind.

Don't worry, we are not all pessimists on this site. Some forumers have been saying this thing was dead from the get go, same with The One. The real question is will this be built in time for Ghery to be at the Ribbon Cutting. He's what 84/85 now? It would be nice for him to see this rise in his home town.

Some forumers look at things with a doze of realism. They look at the odds. An enormous tower by a star architect from a unknown developer that doesn't have the funds for even a down payment. They don't make finite claims as dead because they don't know. That's your own conclusion.... (FYI, Stale isn't dead. FYI, One Bloor has been a registered condo (TSCC 2577) since March 2017).... They don't just jump on the bandwagon because the approval was finally released 3 years after the fact. They question why the "fine tuning" took 3 years to get this released. Anyone eager to build builds. They work out the details and submit the site plan applications as soon as possible because they can't rely on the blind optimism here that thinks market conditions will last forever because it has lasted so long already.Or, that this is different from an other investor driven condo boom because units are being sold to end users that visit sales centres to make their well thought purchase. MLS isn't swamped a hundred listings (for a tower with 300 to 500 units) once the buildings registered. Get real.

Some forumers eat cereal with piss on it each day and take it out here on others. Others can't seem to let some be positive or get excited about projects. Some forumers forgot why they joined this site in the first place and think all others need to be as grumpy or jaded as they are. Some.

I am the law! Says it all.

Exactly - it's a concept only - there are no (pardon the pun) concrete plans for that project.
