Wow, this area changed quite quick. Feels like just yesterday it was still occupied with the trees and the lawn. However, both tended to be quite underused, especially compared to other areas of the campus. Good riddance for Barton Hall too. The building was not totally miserable, but it had few, if any, redeeming qualities, and the public space behind it was commonly called The Stonehenge, as it 1) contained inscrutable abstract stone pillars and formations and 2) was desolate enough for, well, getting stoned. During the daytime it was a nice little pathway to cut across the block and avoid daytime crowds.
