This would be interesting to know but hard to keep track of because it would be changing every month. The answer for North Carolina is interesting - it is a tie between Skyhouse Raleigh and Skyhouse Charlotte.

There're buildings over 10 stories that are undergoing major renovations in Alabama, but nothing "new" to my knowledge.

Perhaps there's one (or eight) new highrises still U/C in Orange Beach/Gulf Shores?

Tallest UC in North Carolina that I'm aware of:

1) 23 floor Skyhouse Raleigh
Tie) 23 floor Skyhouse Charlotte
3) 22 floor Childress Klein apartments, Charlotte
4) 11 floor Charter Square South, Raleigh

Whole lot of proposals including a couple of 450+ foot towers for Charlotte, 350' tower for Winston-Salem, even a new 22 floor tower in downtown Durham. Will have to see which ones actually break ground.

We have a handful of buildings going up in the 18 to 26 floor range. One new office HQ's for Cox on their Dunwoody campus, the rest are apartment buildings in Buckhead & Midtown.

There is an impressive list of fresh proposals, one as tall as 59 or 60 floors. Quite a few are in the 30's & 40's. Midrise infill is going up all over the place like crazy.

I believe you're right, Dale. It hasn't been like this around here for 6 years.

There are 17 towers in the pipeline for Midtown alone, with several more in Buckhead and a possible new 40 story hotel Downtown. State Farm broke ground last week on the first phase of their new regional HQ's at the Perimeter (20 stories), directly connected to the Dunwoody train station.

As I mentioned last night there is midrise infill going up all over town, but we have never seen such a massive amount of this happening simultaneously across so many sections of the city. It's pretty exciting to be here right now.

Can I have a link for the 40 stories for Downtown? And also you for got 1125 Peachtree 50+ stories and 1138 Peachtree. I dont know height or the amount of stories about related group 2 tower project proposal, and 98 14st as you said but they're 3 Tower Proposal 39,57,60

The 40 story hotel for Downtown is the proposal next to the GWCC and new Falcons Stadium.

Yeah, you're right. I looked it up and apparently the Charlotte skyhouse is 24 floors and the Raleigh skyhouse is 23 floors.

I believe Centergy North is currently the tallest building under construction in Atlanta at 334 feet. Unless I'm mistaken, there is site prep going on in Midtown for a project called 811 Peachtree, which will climb to around 400 feet. Rumor is it will begin construction in earnest later this summer. The tallest current proposal for Atlanta is a three tower project currently named 98 14th Street. The developer closed on the land earlier this month and plans to break ground next year, with the tallest tower to rise around 720 feet.

Very cool, Bob.

I actually had a client tell me that she moved several blocks in Brickell to get away from the construction dust across from City Centre!

She could afford it, though.
