For 2 weeks in the middle of August I have been on a trip in southern France and northern Italy. The first week I stayed with my girlfriend and 2 friends in their house in Roquefort-les-Pins, a small mountain village with views of the sea, between Nice and Antibes and less than one hour drive from everything at the French Riviera. We also made a daytrip to Marseille. The 2nd week me and my girlfriend went by train to San Remo in Italy via Monaco and then further to Genova and Milan. We flew to Nice from Copenhagen and flew home from Bergamo to Gothenburg, where we caught a train to Malmö. We have visited 17 communities of which about 14 cities, and 4-7 large cities depending how you count. I still think this part of Europe is amazing, despite I have been there 3 times. I think every town deserves its own thread, especially since there are so many pictures from each place.
On the 3rd day we visited the 2nd and 3rd largest cities of the French Riviera, Antibes and Cannes, both less than one hour drive to the left of our house. Antibes is an old art city and Cannes is the partly glamorous city where the annual film festival takes place. Juan-les-Pins is a beach/party town that counts as a part of Antibes.
