Wow, way to go Seattle. One of the nicer supertall proposals for NA.

I wonder if this would have an FAA issue as mentioned in an post above? Estimating, it does look very close to 400m or about 1300 ft.

After living in Seattle back in the eighties, I hope this get's built!! CAP really screwed the DT as far as I'm concerned. Probably might be 310+ meters if it gets built!

Yeah, they need more than 1,200 feet. There is no height restrictions. Screw the FAA!!!

Didn't some California transplant lead a charge, awhile back, to cap building heights ?

The building to it's right is just shy of 1000 feet, so it's more in the 1350 range.

I really don't get the FAA rules, having just flown out of Vegas a couple days ago, the 1100+ foot stratosphere tower is no more than 2 miles from the airport.

I'm not sure if FAA rules would apply here though, hopefully not. It would be amazing for a building like this to happen!

Yea except with much less tapering which is good... I feel like this is kind of a pipe dream (I mean is there even a real developer behind this?) or at least if built will end up shorter than this since all US buildings end up 1-200 feet shorter than originally announced. Luckily that would still leave us with a pretty tall building.

It would be nice to have another supertall on the West Coast. Seattle is definitely booming. Also might I add Bellevue. A very underrated city in my view along with Honolulu, but if you see the projects list for those cities, it eclipses most other cities in that population range.

I've seen some flight paths around the vicinity of downtown and it shouldn't really pose a hazard. Even at night, if they place some beacons on the top, it should be a safe zone really.

I would die if this gets built. It definitely elevates Seattle's up-and-coming presence as a major world city, as well as being the newly fastest-growing city in the nation. It may break into the 20 largest cities in the USA again by 2015. It deserves a showpiece building to iconize that moment.

Very nice render, love it! Can they just give the award to Gensler right now and be done with it?

(I want to see the other proposals!)

That is bloody fantastic. After all of the other Seattle towers, I was starting to wonder what was up with this one.
