TOKYO: *Chill Society*

Last week I had the fortune of traveling with the Sub-Culture crew (ChaCha, Drunk Monk, Hamacide, Downstate and Mads) to Tokyo. It was Sub-Culture Shanghai's (SCS) first tour in Tokyo, and the first time a Chinese female solo artist (ChaCha) has ever toured independently in Japan. Significant stuff to be sure.

SCS was joined by Manila musicians Red-I, Astrid, Ras and Takashi as well as Tokyo locals Part2Style and Rumi and Skyfish.

It was an amazing tour, shared with equally amazing people. Oh, and don't worry, I took PLENTY of city shots.

Big thanks to everyone in Tokyo and you the viewer.

Thanks for staying until the end.

Yesssssss.

I love this. Tokyo is my favorite city in the world, and this thread does nothing to change that. Some incredible pictures, especially with the 'underground' scene stuff. Totally new side to Tokyo. Feels incredibly human. Lovely.

Very nice and cool photos from Tokyo! Thanks for sharing.

I like specially the quality of your night shots. Very sharp and nice colours.

Tokyo is an amazing and vibrant city, as you´ve formidably shown in your thread.

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain!

That was surreal. I've been getting into Asian cinema lately, so this thread, coupled with the movies I have been watching, are deepening my interest in a world that is still largely foreign. Japanese reggae, huh? Hmm. I went to a German reggae concert this past weekend - always interesting to see these things, being somebody with dreadlocks and Caribbean ancestry.

Dope thread.

Super great shots. Loved every second of it.

Giallo, you should know this: Why do Asian cities have these incredibly awesome little areas of cheap, "street food" where you can pull up a stool, eat a NON-GREASY-NASTY burger, more like a lean fish and rice (or something like that) meal. Is there a name for this style of restaurant or how would you describe it?
I really don't see these anywhere in the US and if I ever come across some investment money, I think it would be very successful in certain american cities. Plus they are just flat out cool. My vision: Sitting on a stool up to a food bar, pedestrians walking by; You do some people watching, talk to the person next to you if you feel like it, and eat a normal sized, healthy meal something like rice and salmon with a bowl of soup or something for lunch for a lower price than the competiting fast food burger joints. I think it would be great. Please help me if you can!
