I did make a very brief Tokyo thread a while back, but I have decided to leave that to perish and open a new and more comprehensive thread.
I lived just north of Tokyo for over 4 years, having left and returned to London this year. Leaving was one of the hardest things I have done, and I spend every day wishing I was still there.
One of my greatest regrets is that despite living there for as long as I did, I only got round to buying a new camera and equipment about 4 months before I left. I now consider everything I took prior to that to be sub-standard. I only got in to the city to photograph every so often at weekends, so despite living there for over 4 years, my Tokyo collection is smaller than many of my other threads. I have travelled extensively all across Japan, to every last corner, yet I have almost no worthwhile photographs. This to me is a deep disappointment as I love Japan more than anywhere else. I need to to back and photograph extensively.
