Flames playoff chances are definitely dwindling now, we need Baertschi back.

Both Keith and Sedin need to be suspended. 2 games for Sedin, 5 for Keith.

If Shanahan doesn't do something about those hits, he is a moron.

This is going to be a crucial stretch for the Leafs in the next few weeks. After that loss to Boston, we can't afford to lose any more games. The tough part's gonna be getting into the playoffs, but once they're in I'm pretty confident they can do well. I'd LOVE a first-round match-up against the Rangers - the Monster has absolutely dominated them this year.

^Welcome back. Still deulsional though. 8 points out, 8 games left, four teams in between them and the playoffs. They aren't making the playoffs.

Ugh, what's up with Hollywood asking for money for a painting of Hollywood on a goalie mask? The judge better throw the case out or I'd already owe the Hollywood chamber of commerce $10 just for this post.

Yeah, the Flames and Jets are a lot closer to playoff positioning, and while neither team has been stellar lately, they haven't been tanking like the Leaves have. What, 4 wins in the past 21 games or something? It's a complete and utter meltdown that only a major miracle can fix.

And I see very little chance of the Flames or Jets making it to the post-season. Toronto? Yeah. Right. And maybe Ottawa will win the cup this year as an 8th seed.

no team has ever won the cup as the 8th seed.

Only one team has ever made it to the cup finals from the 8th seed, and that was the Oilers in 2006...

I suspect he'll do something about the Keith hit, and conveniently ignore the Sedin hit as the Vancouver media is doing in their little suspension begging frenzy that the 3 major Canadian teams (Montreal, Vancouver, and to a MUCH lesser extent Toronto) overly whiny media has lowered themselves to every time something goes wrong. In reality, the only main difference between the hits is the latter one knocked out a physically much weaker player. In that case, it was pretty much Sedin getting what he had coming to him.

Sedin's hit isn't suspendable, or at least shouldn't be. At most it should have been a 2-minute minor. Keith's hit is inexcusable and should get 5 games.

It was a blindside elbow directed towards the head. Sure, there was no bad result, but still, that's what it was, and his intention was glaringly obvious.

No, it shouldn't be a suspension, but who knows with how the NHL rolls the suspension dice. At the very least it should be looked at.

Which is really precisely the problem, and leads to endless suspension calling by the Canadian media.

Shoulder =/= elbow, but Sedin did contact Keith's head, so I will give you that.

At this point I don't really care about the suspension. I'm just hoping Daniel isn't out for too long.

How is that relevant? Bertuzzi plays for the Red Wings, Crawford works for TSN, and the Canucks have fired two GMs since then.

Malkin is a freak... that was his 4th 5 pts game this season. That is the most since Lemieux had 6 in 95-96.

They might as well just head to the room after overtime. Have they even scored a goal in the shootout this month?

The sooner this season ends and we can get rid of the bum squad and bring back the emergency call ups on a permanent basis, the better.
