Corner West 19th & Sanatorium Road?

Can anyone tell me what building is at the corner of W 19th & Sanatorium? It appears to say Elmwood S.S. on the door along with a hazard sign of some sort. Address is possibly 218 but not sure if thats W 19th or Sanatorium.

My guess is it's a hydro Substation. Check out a similar building found here in Scarborough

Quote:
A distribution substation in Scarborough, Ontario disguised as a house, complete with a driveway, front walk and a mown lawn and shrubs in the front yard. A warning notice can be clearly seen on the "front door".

The SS stands for substation and Elmwood st. is just a block away. So Capt Kirk is on the money.

It's funny I drive by that all the time and never really noticed it. But then again that's the point of disguising it as a house.

Looking at Google streetview, this is obviously not one of the substations that Hamilton Hydro disguised as a house. (It is better looking than some substations and was nicely landscaped when google drove by)

Here is the actual building (hopefully link works):
