You guys in Boise sure seem pretty happy about a crane.

You bet! Though I have a hunch it's more to do with the fact that we're finally getting a new tallest, and it's a very pretty building to boot.

Yup. This is significant after all of the years of bad luck at that corner and there are a lot of areas downtown in which the views of the crane are pretty sexy as it stands tall above our sexy downtown.

The happiness is similar to the glee folks in a nearby city projected when they had crane(s) in the air.

TreasureValley: Did you ever hear back from anyone on the image crawler? I looked into it a bit and it looks like there are tons of software downloads one can get for free that will capture the images. I think that is a great idea and it would be a welcome addition to the site. Perhaps one could even do the same thing for the JUMP site.

I didn't. I looked into it all a little bit myself, but I never really could figure any of it out. I'm not very good with the computer stuff. If you or someone else could figure it out, I think that would be awesome. I'm not sure if I'm technically capable enough myself though.
In the mean time I've taken it upon myself to download the images a couple of times a day. I have 40 or so images. Although the webcam for me is still showing the site as it was Tuesday morning! I wonder if they had problems with the rain storm.

And yeah! That'd be a great thing for JUMP too. Or any future buildings really. It'd be cool to see them as they're built.

Well if that's the case: Don't look up during high winds because there might be a surprise coming down on top of you.

Web Cam

Basco and Treasure Valley

The Broad Museum in Los Angeles next to the Disney Concert Hall, and across the street from the MOCA ( Museum Of Contemporary Art ) has a web camera that has a time lapse movie.
Check out the web site below. Grand Ave in downtown Los Angeles has some of the best buildings in the city.

Thx for the pic sawtooth. Has anyone noticed you can see the crane when on Warm Springs Ave. in the area west of the M&W? That means the building, when complete, will really dominate the view heading into town on Warm Spings.

I was among them. Since I'm finishing school in Moscow, I'm won't be returning to Boise until December. I was loving a way to view progress live. It would be really great if they got it working again.

hmmm... interesting.

i post about the webcam not working, and suddenly... it works!

i must have some strange power to make things happen simply by posting about them!!

ya know, the new convention center hasn't been built yet, and i'm quite certain Santiago Calatrava Valls is just begging to design it...
