Yeah I know that. That doesn't change that they look underbuilt

Underbuilt or not, they're a huge improvement over what was there.

Those 4 storey may eventually be replaced (long term) - that land is designated for high rise in the new City Centre Plan. 4-storey height probably wouldn't be approved for that site if proposed now. They were also built prior to 6-storey wood frame being permitted.

They are getting ready to work on the sidewalk along University. Sidewalk hoarding has been taken down in front of both SFU and Prime.

I guess those coloured panels next to the staggered windows never materialized.
I wonder if the balcony glass will be coloured or clear?

Something tells me it'll end up being clear

Is central going to be built soon?

Progress on this has really slowed. Hardly any exterior change in 2 months.

Seems like it wont be finished until next Spring.

I'd venture a guess most of the work is inside right now so it may look like progress has slowed, but when buildings top out they are still like 75% incomplete on the inside typically. Still a lot of work, 6+ months left once a building tops.

Outside work that is left isn't a huge amount so they could complete and clean that all up pdq.

The building topped out last December. It's been almost 10 months and still a lot of exterior work to be done. Hardly any change since early July. Seems like by the time its finished it will be over a year since topping out. Slower than normal - likely due to the trades shortage.

A worker on site left a container open full of interior materials during a rain storm.

All materials had to be re-ordered. so it delayed completion to Jan 15 - April 15 2019

April 15, 2019. Wow didn't expect that long. That will put it at almost 3.5 years - start to completion.
