Two of Ithaca's recent controversial proposals are giving it another try. Both have not been able to get through the approval process (many Nimbys at work). From the Ithaca Voice:
An update on several projects in Ithaca. The one big project finally approved is the Maplewood proposal for Cornell graduate housing (872 beds). From the Ithacating @ Cornell Heights blog:

The city has been experiencing a development boom the last decade or so. What helps is the current city administration is leaning pro-development. I hope it can continue.
