That would be at the corner of Edmonds and Kingsway, the triangle lot where a small building used to stand. I'm guessing the old Value Village building is still standing (as a site office). I'll try to remember to look when I head up that way next week.

I didn't get too close but saw that the old Value Village is still standing. I wonder if it'll still be standing at the end of this year. The plan was to build the tower on Kingsway and the office cube at the corner first and then build the towers on Edmonds.

Value Village is now ruble, apparently the first two towers are already sold out?

My pics from today.

The presentation centre is nicer than average.

The site has been cleared for the most part.

They don't seem to be in a hurry with this one. Thanks for the update! With so much going on, I had completely forgotten about it. Have they already started selling / sold this out yet?

Pardon me for saying this, but although the final renders show both buildings and adjacent streets Beverly Hills sleek, Kingsway remains icy-yucky. Hopefully the project may improve it.

I went along there a bit ago and I think it has changed immensely for the better. From Middlegate (?) to Edmonds looked as active and good feeling as any other area of that type; and Kingsway from Edmonds to New West was lined with quite a few new 4-6 story residential with more under way. The prostitution was not evident, though I can't say from one drive that its all cleaned up and gone. Regardless, that whole zone seem a lot better than I remember. Kings Crossing is a big project - it should continue the positive transformation. That said, Edmonds still seemed sketchy looking further along from the Kings Crossing site.

I'm thinking the site may be contaminated. If you look at the third pic that I posted you can see what looks like the remnants of an old rusted out tank of some sort. I could be wrong, but it would explain why the place was dead on a Monday with no trace of heavy equipment on site. It looks as though excavation began and then was promptly halted. Also the piles of dirt covered in plastic seems odd. Whatever the problem is hopefully they can get it resolved quickly.

First two towers are already sold out. The third tower is about to be released.

I agree with that. The sort of "diagonal overhang all glass" plus the big box-like structure atop the tallest building are things I've seen in other renders of other porojects.
But let's face a hard reality; with RARE exceptions, everything architectural becomes dated, sooner or later, and belongs to an epoch. That's just sort of the way it goes.

It was quiet when I went by there on the bus today. I could barely see anything as there are plywood walls on Kingsway and up around the corner - it looked to be the usual chain link fence on Edmonds.

As of Aug 25th they're saying Occupancy: Fall 2018 - I'm presuming that's only for the first tower as at this rate I'll be impressed if they manage to dig out the underground parking this year. Then on Nov 23rd it's expected to be complete by spring 2019.

I'm not yet in the camp that thinks this is a compelling location for office space.

I'll try to swing by and snap a pic, starting off small on the Edmonds side.

Might as well snap some of Southgate (lack of any erection but site clearing has begun with work digging up deep, with a brown dirt(y) mess!)

Okay, I think I'm done the forum for today

They've got two cameras taking daytime pics every 5 mins (check out the 'started digging' link). It looks like the crane was *ahem* erected last Weds morning.

*Tsk* dirt is so dirty

The Kings Crossing site shows there's been a concrete pour where Value Village used to be - odd as the plan was to build along Kingsway first.

Webcam shot today - looks like footings for the office tower, and 2 condo towers.
