This view was taken looking at downtown Denver from the highlands area of the city.

Great shot! Where 26th Avenue wraps around and turns into Zuni Street (where this picture was taken) has always had one of the best views of the Denver skyline IMO... Barnum Park is another, but here it has density and length. The 3 new additions on 14th street help add to the length

I resized and cropped ya'll's photos, so that they are a near match in size. This way we can put them next to each other to better see the change in the skyline. Here they are...

It'll look so much better when the cranes are gone and those new buildings are complete.

^^^^I don't know....crains = activity = jobs = dynamism

aesthetically I understand your point......but for instance....take chicago...
a year or so ago we had 70 building underconstruction....tower crains everywhere

now...to quote Borat..... not so much

Denver has more cranes about to go up. Some just went up, but on the other side of this perspective (Denver Justice Center). Some are not tall enough to see yet (Embassy Suites just right of new tall building with a spire). Union Station (on left side of this perspective), over the next couple years will see many tower cranes go up (publicly funded construction and PPP construction). If the economy recovers, there are several big project "on-hold" which haven't actually been canceled. Hopefully more cranes continue to rise in place of the ones coming down.

thanks, snyderbock for your photo!!! It's remarkable to see what a difference a year makes. When the weather warms up (and soon, I hope) I will drive around downtown from various vantage points and take pics...from the west, the north, the 6th av., approach, the I-25 or Federal av. approaches, from the ballpark neighborhood, etc....

That's a good location for those shots. I've always thought it'd be great to know someone at the Hampton Inn on SPeer + Zuni there and be able to go onto the roof to take photos.
