I really appreciate the comments thank you!

rbowk, you can find textures just by googling image searching different words like "glass facade" or "deco building" or wehatever you are looking for. that's how i got mine

Update time!!

Some of the new buildings have names finally. not all the buildings have names but these are some of my favorites so they have names:

This building is called One Sunny Place. It is 724 feet tall. Construction started in 1948 and completed in 1950. it is mainly residential but there is also office space near the bottom and retail on the first 5 floors. some other buildings were hidden so I could take the image. it was renovated including a new paint job in 1995.

Here is the Livertain Plaza. Livertain is a film and brodcasting company. This big antenna on the roof brodcasts their TV and radio stations all over the Otahita metro area. It is 568 feet to the roof but a whhiopping 822 feet to the top of the antenna. construction finished in 1989. Livertain is currently filming a movie in the city I will show you in another update!

this one is called The Credmore Building, named after the credit card company that owns and occupies it to this day. construction finished in 1978. it is 610 ft. tall. This is one of the top dog corporations in Otahita and they have plans for a future building.

Here's Otahita's tallest!! It is 1,165 feet tall but there may be a spire in its future. It is called The Titan Building and was completed only recently in 2006. It is probably my favorite because the design is so sleek. it is a mixed use building including residential, hotels, mostly office, but lots of retail too. a retraunt sits in the very top part and has a beautiful view of the city.

These are the Synergy Towers. they are Otahita's first twins, though i don't know if they're considered twins because they're touching. they are both 1,086 feet to the tip of the antennas making them the second tallest in the city (only if including antennas). They were both scheduled to be completed the same exact time in november of 2001, however, complications in 200 Synergy Tower (the one on the left in the pic) caused it to finish two months later in jan. of 2002 while 100 Synergy Tower completed on time in nov. of 2001.

thanks for reading! more to come!

this is just a quick scene i made with components that came with sketchup. Livertain, formerly Live Entertainment from 1976 to 1989, is filming the last scene to a movie on the downtown parking garage. i wanted to see how models looked in the city for once. it seems to scale to me.

I love Otahita.

All your buildings are great! Seriosuly keep up the sexy work I'm lovin the city's tallests!

I suggest in the shadows, making the other sides darker to give a more contrasty view. Do you render your shots? Because the Movie Set picture look SO REALALISTIC.

Thanks everybody

Patrick, I played with the shadow settings and made it have more contrast. Thanks for the tip. As for rendering, I'm not sure what you mean. All I did was export 2D image and it made the image file. Then I usuaully resize them in photoshop. Sometimes I just CTRL + PrtScrn button instead of exporting the image, but thats only when the image is justfor showing something not for quality.

I wasn't planning on posting an image now but I changed my mind. This is a photoshopped one that I just made. I like the new shadow look. Nothing else is new this time except you might notice the red sign on top of the Credmore Building that says the company's name. There are also a few other company signs on some of the other buildings, but they can't be seen from this angle.

what i really need to work on is making more streets and bridges and finding a way to connect them and making a bigger road outside of the main grid that i already made but they all connect to make one big grid and it strts to make triangualr blocks and all that complicated frusterating stuff

also i plan to move some of the buildings around once i finally make a good grid.

thanks the Downtown Parking Garage was built in 1982 in hopes of relieving some of the parking congestion near the City Hall Square. it helped at first but within 5 years it was all crowded again.

some scenes using the componenets that came with sketchup:

the board of directors of Florida Mutual, a bank co., going by helicopter leaving from the roof of the FM Building off to a meeting in Miami, FL. the Livertain Plaza can be seen in the distance.

complimentary dog walkers at the five star Knotley Hotel on the roof top. guests may also use this rooftop garden for their own needs whether to picnic or simply view the city.

9AM rush hour traffic in downtown Otahita.
