It's there. Look for the BNY Mellon building and the Laurel is in front.

Oh my, you're right. I overlooked the photoshopped drop-in of the Laurel render.

Thanks champ. But no, that's how it's supposed to look from a far. I used google earth to locate the site of the tower from 2 corners and lined it up from the spot where I took it. And the height is correct after looking at other towers. My renders are not guesses, I have them as accurate as possible

Yes, funding is secured, and groundbreaking has already occurred. I assume the reason no real construction has started yet is entirely logistical and I expect it to start shortly.

You're too sure of yourself. Maybe you accidentally used the lot dimensions instead of the tower dimensions to get the LxW? It's definitely not that fat. Share your calculations?

Hey - it's tough to see (my bad), but there was definitely equipment digging yesterday (bottom right hand corner of my pic above), it has "started", very early stages tho.

I just realized there is no image of the Laurel in the main skyscraperpage diagrams; when you pull up Philadelphia to look at all the buildings the Laurel isn't there.

You should request that one be made in their forums!

Hey, I don't want to start a fight on here or anything, but anyone with a little of drafting experience would realize how off the proportions on your renders are. I mean if you're basing the length and width off of Google Earth and eyeballing them using other building's heights, you're leaving a huge margin of error. All you have to do is compare your renders to the official renders and models made by professionals and you can see the difference. I think it's great that you're just an amateur doing what he's passionate in, but you should also be open to criticism on your photos and renders. If you decide to go to architecture or planning school, critiques (crits) are going to be a huge part of your education and career. You're not going to get far by arguing with your professors. It's best to get used to some (constructive) criticism now.

Walked by there the other day and the lot is completely cleared off - not a piece of equipment, not a pickup truck with jersey plates, not a soul wandering about, nada - so I’m assuming any of the pre-construction construction (or whatever prep they were doing) is finished and the main show should start shortly? The parking lot surface is still there as is the parking attendant booth. Wasn’t the ribbon cutting back in, like, September?

No new permit has been issued- there appears to be some sort of appeal to the zoning permit and perhaps that is why nothing else has happened to date. I guess neighbors are still fighting.

I thought this was a by-right project zoned appropriately for the size and height?
