Interesting engineering. So the ramp slabs will be built above and under the support beams before they take them out in sections or will they take them out full size before the ramps are put in?

There will be no ramps, the WPW ramps are going to serve this garage as well.

the deck adjacent to Orleans was poured today; we'll possibly some see bracing coming out next week. this one should move pretty fast if they don't have to do ramps

My guess would be that the lower level or 2 are below the neighboring garage.

Repairing the "riverwalk" there - stripped off the old deck - replaced and rewelded the supports -new deck is on - railing (slabs) lined up and ready.

The grey really helps the building imo, but damn that part at the top looks so stupid.

No color change was going to save that building from its design. The only thing I can see someone arguing in favor of drab grey over drab brown is that grey doesn't stick out as much. I just wish they could take a wrecking ball to the whole damn thing

The bronze windows over the gray concrete isn’t working. I’m picking my battles here. Painting it off-white might have helped if paint was the only fix. A reclad in glass would have been the best option

The real solution is to build three giant glass towers in front of it so it will reduced to merely lurking in the shadow of superior designs. This grey color will actually help make it disappear into the background once WPE and WPS are done.

I dunno, I like the gray. For a rectilinear and grid-patterned building like that, having a 'natural' color like the tan concrete conflicted with what the structure and form are saying. The grey looks crisp and offsets the dark windows wonderfully and makes their patterns pop.

^Agreed it looks better in grey, but please paint the very top it looks stupid. It doesn't really matter though because in roughly 5 years the building would be lost.
