My favorites in Mobile:

#1. Regions Bank/Merchants Bank Bldg. For it's classic 1920's artdeco style, which reminds me of Detroits Fisher Bldg., which happens to be my favorite in Detroit btw.

#2. The RSA Tower: For height, its post modern style that also includes the crown, and the fact that it changes colors for events and holidays.

#3. The Van Antwerp Hotel: Nice historic 1900's hotel with interesting porthole windows at the top.

#4. Government Plaza: The two buildings seperate would be generit actually, but the way they connected them with an aviary of sorts and topped it off with an unusial roof makes it unique enough to make it one of my favorites here.

My least favorite is the 1st National Bldg., which is also occuppied now by Regions Bank. It is a typical 60's - 70's box with dated cladding. A proper recladding could probably do wonders and make me forget it's a box though.

I don't think so. If there was, the mods (who do a good job of monitoring this sub-forum) would delete this thread or just merge it with the other.

For me and my home of Nashville. Gee, I guess my favorite is the recently finished Pinnacle @ Symphony Place Tower:

A nice office tower with a glass curtain that is elegant and pretty pleasing to look at. Plus, and this is the big thing, it doesn't take away from the symphony hall across the street from it much at all!!! That was a huge issue during the early phases of this towers design.

And my least favorite would be the Rythym @ Music Row Condo Tower:

The overall design is uninspired and the over-use of stucco is almost sickening. I am not the least bit impressed with this mid-rise at all. I could see this type of development more out towards Franklin, but for it to be in downtown (Music Row) is almost insulting. It does have a set back on the front of it that helps with the human interaction, but still it leaves alot to be desired.
