My favorites in Mobile:
#1. Regions Bank/Merchants Bank Bldg. For it's classic 1920's artdeco style, which reminds me of Detroits Fisher Bldg., which happens to be my favorite in Detroit btw.
#2. The RSA Tower: For height, its post modern style that also includes the crown, and the fact that it changes colors for events and holidays.
#3. The Van Antwerp Hotel: Nice historic 1900's hotel with interesting porthole windows at the top.
#4. Government Plaza: The two buildings seperate would be generit actually, but the way they connected them with an aviary of sorts and topped it off with an unusial roof makes it unique enough to make it one of my favorites here.
My least favorite is the 1st National Bldg., which is also occuppied now by Regions Bank. It is a typical 60's - 70's box with dated cladding. A proper recladding could probably do wonders and make me forget it's a box though.
