That One Madison Avenue looks terrible in that location right next to some of the most beautiful historic towers in the city.

Is the Santiago Calatrava building still proposed? I thought it was dead years ago. Ive always loved that building and thought it was a shame it wasnt going to get built. It seems that most of Calatravas taller buildings seem to always fall through the cracks.

I'm glad half of those DIDN'T get built, most of the good looking ones are present or under construcation.

50 West Street is gorgeous.
Beekman ugly as poop.

Cheers

wait...how many of these were actually built or currently being actively built...NOT just planned, talked about, or likely to occur...or even imminent...but just plain simply realy built?

That would be more useful

Is the Santiago Calatrava building still proposed? I thought it was dead years ago. Ive always loved that building and thought it was a shame it wasnt going to get built. It seems that most of Calatravas taller buildings seem to always fall through the cracks.
nope. the only thing one mad is right next to is crapola, certainly nothing significant. it's an amazing sliver. wildest and wackiest of all, it's cantilevered over it's base. that makes for quite an unnevering sight to walk by up close.

also, the calatrava apt tower was never going to be built. i don't think a single apt was ever sold. it was always more his dream than reality, so not really a shame as it had no chance. otoh, a real tragedy is the nimby bickering that is holding up midtown's nouvel moma spire. now there is an inspiring tower that needs to be.

#69 Wow I have not seen those renderings before. Phase 2 of Hudson Yards will be even more exciting with those Robert AM Stern buildings.

Does anyone have more information on #79 proposal? Also this thread has a lot of good old renderings
