It's funny you mention this, as while I was looking at the pics it was one of the first things I noticed but I wasn't sure if I was just missing it.

If they can get that last segment down to Vine, what would be interesting to do would be to build a new "bridge" extension over the Vine Street Express Way - extending the path a little farther - with a stair entrance near 12th or 11th on the southern side of Vine (the Center City side). This would put an entrance 1 block from the Convention Center, close to the heart of Chinatown, and technically Center City. All of which would help to drive foot traffic.
The City better be collecting taxes on this private property!
I think a bridge over Vine St. would be a great way to try to connect this 'park' with CC, but there would need be a lot done on the south end of the bridge to really make it work, not just a set of stairs,

Yeah, like something that was done on the canals in Amsterdam during their festival of lights a couple winters ago. It was pretty cool to see at night, even if only walking around above the canal...

^ Is this one (1528 Cherry) back from the dead/limbo?:

I recall the displeasure over the demo of the two Civil War era row homes, which appeared to be for naught at the time...

Looks like it might be the lot to the west? Seems wider and a different design.

^ Hard to tell from this angle. You may be right, but it doesn't look like the entirety of that lot is being used, if so.

Well at least some of the upper floor cladding on the Fashion Center is going to be redone! They are stripping the upper floors where the movie theater is going, next to 11th st.
Still hoping that when they add the signs, and remove the traces of the old signs, they will at least powerwash the whole thing :-)

Especially love the last wide angle shot! Imagine this with the Cathedral development in it!

With all these developments and redevelopments, there must be close to 1000 new residential units with a few blocks now. Perhaps this will spur new retail, especially restaurants to feed all these people.

I'm getting the idea that they're keeping the terra cotta pieces on the columns, unless they're still to be layered over with something, although I don't remember seeing them in the renderings.

yeah, when they first started tearing them off, I was bummed out. But I think it seems like they're keeping (most of) them too; from the Market street side the glass addition kind of wraps around the older portion with the detailed pieces getting a fresh coat of paint.

Love this project. Something different and ties in well with the existing green space.
