Ahhhh, yes. Hamburg. The romantic port city of the North... where girls, music, sex never stop. I've been there twice. It has a HUGE techno scene, known all over the world. The citizens of Hamburg are extremely proud of their city. Do you want sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll? Do you want to party till 6am? Then Hamburg's your place!

Looks gray and winter-y, but I like it.

Sweet job! I've always had a feel for Hamburg.

For some reason, it feels totally underrated and slept-on,...though that shouldn't be the case; affordability, job opportunities, excellent mass transit and rail/road connections to the rest of Europe, easily Germany's capital of sports, HafenCity, strong local culture, character and identity, favorable cost of living, blah blah, etc..

I love this city. Especially for the maritime feel and the port. I just love how the port is still so integrated with the city. Whereas most cities now have moved their ports to large container lots away from the cities, Hamburg still has the port, the ships, the cranes, the naval construction, everything going on, right there in view from the waterfront. At least from what I see in photos, I haven't been there yet.

Sehr schön. Gibt es viele Kneipen dort?

Did I say that right? My Deutsch ist sehr schreklich.

Absolutely right.

Yes, there are lots of pubs (Kneipen), especially in the classic
party zones of St. Pauli or St. Georg.
