Dystopian Buildings

I've always been fascinated by modern dystopias. I think the world's slums are probably the ultimate dystopias but there are also some more advanced buildings that have a "Bladerunner" atmosphere. The Kowloon Walled City (dismantled in 1993) was a prime example.

The Ponte Tower in Johannesburg also seems like a modern dystopia:

What other dystopian buildings or neighborhoods do you know?

Hashima or Battleship Island has to be one of the most dystopian looking places on the planet, surreal.

Also pretty much any industrial landscape as photographed by Edward Burtynsky.

Some housing projects in the Paris' suburbs have a dystopian look :

Noisy-le-Grand (used by Terry Gilliam in Brazil) :

If snorks is some kind of slang word for "drug dealers", then yes.

The Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium, or as I called it: The Temple of Hate. Very imposing, monolithic structure. Perhaps a bit too clean to be dystopic, but the shape and style definitely match. You can't see it in the picture, but there's a trench that goes around the building right at the base to give the appearance that the building is floating. It also makes it look like an impenetrable fortress. It's a pretty impressive building for such a small city (Brandon MB, pop 50k.)

Even though I absolutely adore the Ryugyong Hotel (It's my favourite skyscraper of all time) I must say it looks quite evil and dystopian.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

I prefered it when it has no cladding.

Rogers Headquarters in Toronto:

.

.

All it needs IMO is "ACME" in big red letters instead of "ROGERS" revolving around the top.
Though in all honesty, I kinda like it, if not just for its absurdity.

That Roger's complex isn't dystopian. It's just a matter of taste on that one; I like it.
It would fit in perfectly in The Hague, Netherlands.

It's only dystopian when you realize who's in it.

Rogers is like AT&T only more evil and inept.

No. Imagine if AT&T had a larger market share and monopolies in many areas of business. That's rogers.
