Nice, thanks for the taking the pics.

Now this is a cool, layered urban feeling transit orientated development

I want to check it out next time i am going that way!

As anyone been inside the mall part yet while a train is going by? It seems to me that the echo would be outragous.

I have and it's not so bad. Loud certainly, but not in a horrible way. Though I suspect it might get annoying if you worked there.

Was just down there today. The noise isn't bad at all in the mall concourse and I don't recall any echoing. Inside a store, the trains are probably as loud as a bus passing by outside. I would say it's quite tolerable.

I live there (my door is 10 steps from subway) so pass through a few times a day. Noise isn't bad at all on the retail levels or inside the stores. I don't think the theater will be any different.

I think it's kind of a shame they decided to put that big steppy plaza along eighth street at the corner of Columbia instead of at grade retail. It makes sense from a drawing people into the mall concourse perspective, but leaves a big blank dead wall on what is supposed to be a key intersection. It just seems wasteful to me.

Maybe in future an office block can be built on stilts above it.
I think the problem is that on the east side of the project, the developer wouldn't want access only through the SkyTrain Station in case the station is closed, as it would limit access. That would impact any 24 hour or late night restaurant tenants, and would apply during strikes, power outages or other situations when the station is closed.

Thanks for the photo update SpongeG. This is looking great, even better than I imagined it would look, and better than the renderings made it appear! Hopefully I will be able to check it all out this weekend.

Looks like the walking tour video has been updated to replace the 3d cgi render.

Looks like they shot this about a week or two ago.

Note the fish eye lens and horrible videography, but it does give you a good tour of the place.
