Not sure where the 81 floor # came from originally, but it has been quoted at that height. More an more articles are pinpointing 76 so that is what we are going with.

Ice Condos... Are they the two towers going up next to Maple Leaf Square? Has the office tower also been approved?

This is an interesting design. . . somewhat on the 'wacky' side, but a little more refined - I think - than some of the other 'wacky' proposals I've seen come up lately. . .

So just curious but with having such a great skyline and being such a large city...why are there not taller buildings being built in the city? Is there a height restriction?

here's a shot of the Success Tower (middle of the list in the previous post), starting to peek through on the skyline, gradually making its way up to 50 storeys...pic by Mike in TO over at urbantoronto.ca....

I did some doodling over the weekend to see how the U/C and Proposed towers will look when added in. The skyline gets a HUGE boost, and the tallest of them all, Trump, doesn't even show up from this POV!

My apologies for any innacuracies regarding building placements, heights, colors, etc... I tried to be as accurate and realistic as I could. I'd love to see more of Maldive's work, I'm not in that league yet...

here's a new one proposed, waiting for approval by the city - 306/310 Richmond St. W., 35 storeys height 121.7 meters, mixed use hotel/residential, the hotel has already been announced to be a Gansevoort Hotel....kind of neat design by TAS, will feature 'hanging' gardens....

Hey Nick, I can see how it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea...I like it though...kind of funky, and a nice antidote to all the sleek cookie-cutter Peter Clewes modernism around...

P.S., also some homage to Montreal's Habitat I think..

Here's another project by the same architects, Teeple (TAS) - it's called Giraffe, location is at Bloor & Dundas in west Toronto...this one has just gone into sales, although still waiting for city approval - lots of nimbys in this neighbourhood...
